Exemptions for 'Defence' Land Acquisition
Hyderabad: The State Government has granted certain exemptions for the acquisition of 48.10 acres of land required by the Research Centre Imarat (RCI), which operates under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Revenue Department Secretary D.S. Lokesh Kumar issued orders on Thursday granting these exemptions under Section 10A of the Land Acquisition Act and Rule 4 of the Telangana Land Acquisition Rules, 2017. Consequently, the project will be exempted from the provisions contained in Chapters 2 and 3 of the Land Acquisition Act.
