Telangana: Paraquat dichloride, which is used for weed control, has become a threat to the lives of farmers. With this, the government has taken control of its sale. From now on, agricultural officials have been ordered to inspect the fields and give a prescription for the purchase only if they think that the weed medicine is necessary. On that basis, shops have been instructed to sell medicines to farmers and maintain a special register for this.
