Fatal Flexi-banner Incident
Two youths died of electrocution while installing a flexi-banner for the Draupadi Sametha Dharmaraju Swamy festival. According to the police, the festival in Puttur was scheduled to begin on Saturday. Local youths Vignesh (20) and Gokul (19) had planned to put up a banner featuring photos of their friends for the occasion. On Friday, while installing the banner near Pooja Textiles—located close to Mounika Opticals on KN Road—they came into contact with 11kV power lines and died from the resulting electric shock.
