Former 'Raymond' Chairman Passes Away
Vijaypat Singhania (87)—former Chairman of the iconic textile conglomerate 'Raymond' and a recipient of the Padma Bhushan award—has passed away. His son, Gautam Singhania, confirmed that he breathed his last on Saturday evening at his residence in Mumbai. His final rites are scheduled to be held in Mumbai today. Vijaypat, who took over the reins as Chairman of Raymond in 1980, served in that capacity for 20 years, steering the company to unprecedented heights of success.
