Gold for Tapasya in Powerlifting
Hyderabad: Sangareddy lifter Surineni Tapasya dazzled with a gold medal at the Euro-Asia Powerlifting Championship. In the competitions held in Kyrgyzstan, competing in the Under-13 to 15 age group (48 kg category), Tapasya lifted a total weight of 247.5 kg to secure first place. Furthermore, Tapasya set world records in both the Squat and Deadlift events within her age category.
