Will the INDIA Alliance Unite?
Congress sources believe that, despite the BJP's victories in Bengal and Assam, there appear to be strong prospects for the INDIA alliance to consolidate at the national level by the time of the 2029 general elections. A senior Congress leader stated that a situation is emerging where the Trinamool Congress—which suffered setbacks in Bengal—and the DMK—which faced defeat in Tamil Nadu—will have no choice but to collaborate at the national level with the Congress-led INDIA alliance.
