Here's how to exchange torn notes!
Do you have torn notes? Don't worry. According to RBI rules, notes worth more than Rs. 10 can be exchanged at banks. If the note is dirty or slightly torn, new ones will be given. If the Gandhi photo, RBI Governor's signature, or watermark is missing, a portion of the note's value will be paid. There is no need to fill out any form. If the note is completely burnt or damaged, it can only be exchanged at RBI regional offices.
