Holding China at Bay
The Indian women's hockey team impressed with a remarkable performance, kicking off their World Cup campaign with a draw. In a Group D match held on Sunday, India held Olympic silver medalists China to a 2–2 stalemate. Navneet (8th minute) and Deepika (26th minute) scored for India, while Zhang Ying (14th minute) and Ma Ning (39th minute) found the net for China. Although China entered the match as the favorite, our girls played strategically and kept their opponents in check. In another Group D match, England defeated South Africa 4-0.
