Rashid Khan has revealed that he declined offers of citizenship extended to him by both India and Australia. In his recently released book, he disclosed that despite having the opportunity to play for these two nations, he politely turned them down. He stated that he conveyed his stance clearly: "I will not play for any country other than my own." Specifically, he stated that during the 2023 IPL season, an official from the Indian Cricket Board offered to grant him citizenship.
