Indigenously Designed Mobile Phones in the Next 10–14 Months
New Delhi: The Central Government has officially announced the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme (MPMS), valued at ₹62,500 crore, aimed at further boosting mobile phone manufacturing in the country. In guidelines released on Friday, the government clarified that mobile phone companies and electronic contract manufacturing firms with a turnover of ₹10,000 crore in the previous financial year (2025–26) would be eligible for the scheme's benefits.
