Injury to Pant
India A has suffered a setback ahead of the three-match unofficial Test series against New Zealand A. Star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the first two matches against Kiwis A due to an injury. Wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra has been named in the squad to replace Pant. Pant sustained a rib injury during the recent Irani Cup. Notably, he had initially been selected for the first two Tests against Kiwis A subject to fitness clearance.
