Private sector lender Axis Bank saw its consolidated net profit grow by 22.23% to reach ₹7,632.31 crore for the June quarter; the profit stood at ₹6,243.72 crore during the same period last fiscal year. On a standalone basis, net profit rose by 23% to ₹7,114 crore, with net interest income at ₹14,646 crore. Meanwhile, private sector lender ICICI Bank reported a consolidated net profit of ₹15,440 crore for the first quarter ending in June of the current financial year.
