Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court has refused to stop the bulldozer action on a mosque built on government land in Sambhal, dismissing the Muslim side's petition. The mosque was built on pond land in Sambhal and was ordered to be demolished by a bulldozer. According to the administration, the mosque is named Gausulbara and is located in Raya Buzurg village in the Asmoli area, 30 km from the Sambhal district headquarters. On October 2nd, the administration, led by the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police, arrived with a bulldozer to demolish the mosque. The administration had demolished a marriage hall adjacent to the mosque. When it came time to bulldoze the mosque, local residents requested a four-day extension from the District Magistrate to carry out the demolition themselves. The District Magistrate granted four days. Subsequently, on Thursday, local residents began demolishing the mosque's outer wall, but the work has been progressing at a very slow pace. People are not showing interest in demolishing the mosque, due to which, as per the order, after four days, bulldozer action can be taken on the mosque and the mosque will be demolished.
