Lord Vighnaraju’s Procession on a Floral Palanquin
As part of the special festivities at Kanipakam, the deity was taken out in a procession on a floral palanquin on Saturday. In the morning, rituals began with the *Abhishekam* (ritual bath) of the presiding deity, followed by *Chandanalankaram* (sandalwood paste adornment), after which the deity was beautifully decorated for *Darshan* by devotees. Later that night, upon the arrival of the *Ubhaya-dars* (sponsors/donors) with their offerings, special prayers were performed for the processional deities at the *Alankara Mandapam*. 'Teertha-prasadam' was distributed to the devotees. Subsequently, the processional deities of Lord Varasiddhi Vinayaka—accompanied by his consorts Siddhi and Buddhi—were seated on a floral palanquin.
