Modi Stifling Freedom of Expression
Hyderabad: Former Supreme Court Judge B. Sudarshan Reddy criticized Prime Minister Modi’s labeling of those who question the ruling dispensation as "Urban Naxals" (or "intellectual Naxals"), stating that it amounts to trampling upon the people's freedom of expression. Delivering the keynote address at a seminar titled "Indian Constitution – Social Justice"—organized by the *Rajyanga Parirakshana Vedika* (Forum for Protection of the Constitution) at the JNTU Auditorium in Kukatpally on Sunday—he remarked that it has become common practice to malign those who challenge corporate exploitation by branding them as individuals opposed to development.
