Washington: Donald Trump has ordered the installation of traditional steam-powered catapults instead of the 'Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System' (EMALS) currently used to launch fighter jets from aircraft carriers. He directed the Navy and the Pentagon to submit a plan regarding this within two months. Trump's directive will primarily impact the 'Doris Miller,' a Ford-class aircraft carrier currently under construction.
