Musi River Cleanup: Change Must Begin with Us!
No matter how many thousands of crores the government spends, the cleanup of the Musi River is impossible without public participation. Our mindset must change. We must stop dumping waste—including plastics—directly into the river. It is our responsibility to maintain our drainage connections properly, use water judiciously, and thereby minimize sewage generation. We must treat the river not as a dumping ground, but with the reverence due to the city's lifeline. The dream of a pristine Musi River will be realized only when civic discipline is coupled with governmental resolve.
