New Pay Commission from January 1? Will salaries increase?
Financial experts are estimating that the 8th Pay Commission has a chance of coming into effect from January 1. They say that the salaries of central government employees may increase by 20%-35% on the basic pay. The government notified the commission in November 2025. Although it may take more time for the report to be submitted, there are indications that the increased salary and pension will be implemented from January 2026. However, the government has not yet made any announcement regarding this.
