New rule in IPL mini-auction
The IPL Governing Council has set the highest price for overseas players in the IPL mini-auction at ₹18 crore. Even if the player fetches a higher price in the auction, he will only be paid ₹18 crore. The remaining amount will go to the BCCI, which will use the money for player welfare. The IPL 2026 mini-auction will be held tomorrow in Abu Dhabi from 2:30 PM onwards. It can be watched live on JioCinema and Star Sports.
