No Immediate Danger Posed by Plunge Pool
Srisailam: D.K. Sharma—Chairman of the Central Dam Safety Evaluation (CDSE) and a dam expert—stated that the plunge pool currently poses no threat to the Srisailam reservoir. However, he noted that, as a precautionary measure to prevent the plunge pool from expanding further, walls need to be constructed on both sides. Led by Mr. Sharma, a team of experts arriving from Delhi on Wednesday conducted a thorough inspection of the Srisailam reservoir's safety and structural integrity for a second consecutive day on Thursday.
