No permission for Chinnaswamy Stadium
Police have denied permission for the Vijay Hazare Trophy matches to be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Despite Karnataka Cricket Association president Venkatesh Prasad's request to hold the matches without spectators, permission was not granted. Consequently, the match scheduled for tomorrow has been shifted to the BCCI Centre of Excellence on the outskirts of the city. The government is acting strictly in the wake of the stampede that occurred during the RCB IPL victory celebrations.
