New Delhi: Following Iran's imposition of restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz—in retaliation for attacks by the US and Israel—the Indian Navy has discreetly stepped in to ensure the safe passage of Indian commercial vessels transiting through this route. According to government sources, the Navy has deployed approximately five to six warships in the Strait of Hormuz under the banner of 'Operation Urja Suraksha.' These warships recently escorted two LPG tankers—named *Pine Gas* and *Jag Vasant*—safely across the Strait of Hormuz.
