Oversight Committee to meet on 12th for renovation of Kaleshwaram barrages
Hyderabad: The Oversight Committee will meet in New Delhi on 12th of this month to discuss the renovation designs of Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla barrages in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. The government plans to complete the renovation work of Kaleshwaram barrages by June 2027. In October 2023, when the seventh block of Medigadda Barrage in the Kaleshwaram project collapsed, massive seepage was released in Annaram and Sundilla. The results of the tests conducted based on the report of the expert committee formed later were also released.
