Ratha Saptami in Tirumala on the 25th
The TTD has announced that Ratha Saptami will be celebrated in Tirumala on the 25th of this month, coinciding with Surya Jayanti. The deity will be taken in procession on seven different vehicles through the temple streets. It was stated that the deity will give darshan to devotees on various vehicles from 5:30 AM to 9 PM. The seventh day of the bright fortnight of the holy Magha month is called Ratha Saptami/Magha Saptami. According to the Vedas, Lord Surya was born on this day and bestowed knowledge upon the world.
