Remand for Karumuri Until the 25th
Vijayawada: The ACB Court has remanded YCP leader and former minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao to custody until the 25th of this month in connection with the case regarding irregularities in liquor transportation tenders. SIT officials produced him before the ACB Court in Vijayawada on Thursday; he was previously lodged in Hyderabad's Chanchalguda Jail following an arrest by the ED. During the remand proceedings, he requested the magistrate to assign him to Chanchalguda Jail. Consequently, Magistrate L. Tejovathi ordered his transfer to Chanchalguda Jail.
