Dr. PV Satyanarayana, Research Director, Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, said that it is just a myth that eating rice increases sugar levels. He said that there is no need to worry about sugar as we eat rice along with pulses, vegetables, ghee and meat. Research has shown that even samba and musuri, which are widely consumed in AP, are low in these. He explained. He said that by eating chaddannam, one can further increase their lifespan.
