Rs. 10 increase on liquor bottles
Andhra Pradesh: The government has issued orders increasing liquor prices. It has increased the price by Rs. 10 for all liquor bottles, except for those with an MRP of Rs. 99, including beers and wine bottles. The government estimates that this will generate an additional revenue of Rs. 1,391 crore annually. Due to different prices in bars and liquor shops, it has decided to withdraw the additional retail excise tax. This is likely to result in uniform prices in bars and liquor shops.
