Saina Nehwal announces retirement
Indian star shuttler Saina Nehwal has announced her retirement from competitive badminton. "I stopped playing two years ago. I entered this sport out of my own free will, and I am leaving it willingly. There is no need to announce this separately," she said in a podcast. Former World No. 1 badminton player Saina Nehwal has won a total of 24 international medals, including an Olympic bronze medal.
