Sensex Surges
Indian stock market benchmark indices posted significant gains on Tuesday. The Sensex climbed 1,109.10 points (1.54%) to reach 73,033.78, marking its biggest single-day gain in four months. Meanwhile, the Nifty closed at 22,721.95, up by 358.60 points (1.60%), recording its largest gain in over two months. The total market capitalization of BSE-listed companies—a key indicator of investor wealth—rose by ₹4.58 lakh crore to reach ₹470.03 lakh crore ($4.93 trillion).
