Spectacular Golden Chariot Procession
Tirumala: As part of the annual *Salakatla Brahmotsavams* of Lord Venkateswara, Lord Malayappa Swamy graced the devotees on three different *vahanams* (divine vehicles) along the *Mada* streets on Sunday, the sixth day of the festival. In the morning, adorned as Lord Kodandarama, the deity was taken in a procession on the *Hanumantha Vahanam*. The *Swarna Rathotsavam* (Golden Chariot Procession) took place with great grandeur at 4 PM. Notably, several women pulled the golden chariot forward with immense devotion and reverence; among them were TTD Board members Suchitra Ella and Vemireddy Prashanthi, as well as Vasundhara (wife of film actor Balakrishna), among others.
