**Supported her family by selling toys**
The deceased's father stated that he last spoke to his daughter on the day of Muharram. On that day, she had gone to the Jhanjhari Muharram fair to sell toys. The woman was married in 2010 and had two sons and two daughters. Her eldest daughter is about 9 years old, while the youngest is 3. Her husband had gone to Punjab for manual labor about a week prior. Her in-laws had already passed away, and there were no male members living in the house. She used to support her family by selling toys at fairs in the village and surrounding areas.
**Body sent for post-mortem**
The body was recovered from a bamboo grove located about 700 meters east of the woman's home. She was identified by her husband's name, which was tattooed on her wrist. An FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team arrived at the scene and collected evidence. A thick rope with hair strands entangled in it was also recovered alongside the body. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Villagers reported that on Wednesday night, the woman had eaten dinner with her children and gone to sleep at home.
**Police recovered the body stuffed in a sack**
The eldest daughter told the police that her aunt (*badi mummy*) had said her mother had gone out somewhere. Meanwhile, the police received a tip-off that a woman from Nayanagar had been murdered and her body concealed. The police arrived at the woman's house to verify the information, but her family members and neighbors were reluctant to share any details. Subsequently, the police searched the area around the house and the nearby thickets for about three hours before discovering the body stuffed inside a sack. Upon learning of the incident, the deceased's father also arrived at the scene. Udakishunganj Station House Officer (SHO) Sudhakar Kumar stated that the exact cause of death would only be determined after receiving the post-mortem and FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) reports. The police are currently investigating the matter from all angles.
**Woman had been caught in a compromising position a few days earlier**
According to locals, three days prior, the woman had been caught in a compromising position with a village electrician inside her own home at night. A social *panchayat* (village council) was subsequently held, following which the young man was let off. It is reported that the woman wished to move in with her husband and children, but she died under suspicious circumstances before she could do so. Dark black marks were found on the left and right sides, as well as the front and back, of the woman's neck.
