Telangana's report opposing the Central Electricity Amendment Rules
Telangana: Telangana is opposing some provisions in the Central Draft Electricity (Amendment) Bill-2025. The Centre has proposed provisions in this draft such as granting full powers to state ERCs, rationalization of electricity subsidies, and direct purchase of electricity by industries. The state is expressing its objections to these. Two discoms have prepared a report in this regard. With the CM's approval, officials will submit it to the Centre.
