Visakhapatnam Emerges as a Maritime Industrial Hub
Visakhapatnam: Another indigenous asset has joined the Indian Navy. The first indigenously built Fleet Support Ship-1 (FSS-1) was successfully launched into the water. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the vessel—named 'Surya'—on Tuesday at Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) in Visakhapatnam. Additionally, the keel was laid for Fleet Support Ship-5. The modernized Slipway-4 and a Goliath crane capable of lifting 300 tonnes were also inaugurated. BRS and BJP are the biggest betrayers of BCs
