Visakhapatnam Steel under government control
Union Minister of State for Steel Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma said that industries are very important in the country's economy. He inaugurated the Nagarjuna Cement Grinding Unit at Tallapalem in Kashimkota mandal of Anakapalle district on Monday. Speaking to reporters on the occasion, he said that the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is being continued under the control of the central government instead of privatizing it, respecting the sentiments of the people of the area. He said that the central government has provided a package of about Rs. 11,440 crore to get the steel plant back on track.
