Where Should Water Be Sourced for Dindi?
Uncertainty persists regarding the source from which water should be diverted for the Dindi Lift Irrigation Scheme. After coming to power, the Congress government issued a G.O. (Government Order) permitting the transfer of water to the Dindi Lift Irrigation Scheme from the Yedula Reservoir—which was constructed as part of the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme—and decided to proceed with the necessary works. However, this move faced opposition from public representatives of the undivided Mahabubnagar district.
