Why are tires always black?
Natural rubber is actually white. But vehicle tires are never seen in any color other than black. The main reason for this is Carbon Black. Adding this to the rubber makes it black. It provides good grip to the tire and protects it from the sun's UV rays. This prevents the tires from wearing out quickly and makes them last longer.
