Women's Wages Rose More Than Men's: Survey
The Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS-2025) indicated that the growth in nominal wages for women was higher compared to that of men. The survey was conducted across three categories: self-employed individuals, salaried employees, and laborers. "Earnings for self-employed men rose by 6%, while those for women increased by 8.8%. Among salaried employees, men's wages grew by 5.8%, whereas women's salaries rose by 7.2%. In the labor category, men's wages declined by 0.2%, while women's wages increased by 5.4%," the report stated.
