Sabarimala gold theft.. accused of selling it
A key development has taken place in the case of the weight loss of the gold tapadas in the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple in Kerala. The main accused, Unnikrishnan, admitted that 476 gm. of gold was separated from them and sold to a businessman named Govardhan in Karnataka. Govardhan also confirmed this during the investigation by the SIT officials. Meanwhile, in 2019, when the work of polishing the tapadas was entrusted to Unnikrishnan, it was recently revealed that the weight of the gold had decreased.
