Sri Lankan leader shot dead
Sri Lanka's Veligama Council Chairman and opposition Samagi Jana Balavegaya Party leader Lasantha Wickramasekhara (38) was brutally murdered. While he was in his office to inquire about the problems of the people, two assailants opened fire and fled. Wickramasekhara died on the way to the hospital. On receiving information, the police reached the spot and started an investigation. They said that they are looking for the accused.
