Trump said – “I will meet with Xi Jinping, we will resolve all the conflicts.”
China has issued a significant statement regarding the US-China tariff war. Chinese diplomat Wei, who is visiting India, said, "China's position is very clear: we do not want any conflict. But if forced, we will definitely respond with a strong response. We will fight, but our doors are open. We reiterate that cooperation benefits both the US and China. We urge the US to correct its mistakes and resolve the issues. If it does not, China will take necessary steps to protect its rights. This is our position."
Trump Said - We Will Meet with the Chinese President
Following this statement, US President Donald Trump said, "Next week we will travel to Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan. In South Korea, I will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. We will have a long meeting. We can address many of our questions, doubts, and our immense potential together... We canceled the meeting with President Putin; I did not find it right." I didn't think we could get to the point we needed to, so I canceled it...
China-Russia relations can't be friendly... I hope they will be, but they can't be... Biden and Obama forced them together because of energy and oil. They're closer than usual. I'll probably talk about that. I'll actually talk to them about how we can end the war with Russia and Ukraine, whether it's through oil, energy, or something else...
If India and Pakistan want to fight, let them fight.
"We as a country are doing so well right now because of tariffs. Tariffs have been used against us for decades. That's why we have a debt of $37 trillion... We're a rich country. We're borrowing as much money as we used to. Without tariffs, this wouldn't have happened. I've resolved eight wars. Five or six of those eight were caused by tariffs... India and Pakistan, if you will." If you want to fight, fine. But you'll have to pay tariffs, and they'll be very high. We're in the middle of a trade deal.
Both countries called and said they won't fight anymore. There's peace between them. But I've done this six times, I'd say, out of eight... Tariffs are very important to this country... We've made a fair deal with Japan and the European Union. We've made a fair deal with South Korea. These are countries that were taking a lot of money away from us, which is unsustainable...
Regarding his upcoming meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, US President Donald Trump said, "As you know, India has told me they're going to stop... It's a process. You can't just stop it (buying oil from Russia). By the end of the year, they'll have almost zero oil; about 40 percent. Yesterday I spoke with Indian Prime Minister Modi, and he was absolutely great. China is a little different. Their relationship with Russia is a little different. It was never good, but under Biden and Obama, they're going to be able to make it work." Because of this they were forced to come together."
Strict sanctions imposed on Russia
Regarding the sanctions against Russia, US President Donald Trump said, "Today is a very big day. Look, these are very strong sanctions. They're against two of their major oil companies... We hope the war will be resolved. We've just responded about various versions of missiles and everything else we're considering. But we don't think it will be necessary. We want them to stick to their long-standing strategy and go home. Nearly 8,000 of their soldiers were killed last week. Many Russians and Ukrainians were killed last week... I think they both want peace right now. It's been almost four years... If I were president, this would never have started..."
We'll settle all wars, everything will be fine
Asked why sanctions against Russia are being increased now, US President Donald Trump said, "I thought it was time. We've waited a long time. I thought we would move on from the Middle East long ago. We've dealt with the Middle East." "We fought seven other wars. We fought seven different wars, from Pakistan and India to several other countries... I fought all of them. With the one war left... that will be nine wars. We have one war left, and I think we'll be able to handle that one."
