A woman needs more calories in her life during the breastfeeding stage. Experts say that breastfeeding increases appetite. They suggest eating a balanced diet during this time. Especially between tiffin, lunch, and dinner, fruits and nuts with a low glycemic index should be consumed. Millets, beans, soups, chicken, and fish should be consumed more. Foods high in fats, sugar, and salt should be avoided.
