The NSG Training Academy in Manesar has launched a significant initiative to strengthen the role of women in the frontline of the country's security apparatus. For the first time in India, a 'Women Commando Conversion Course' (MCCC) is being conducted, providing specialized commando training to female personnel from state police forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). **12-Week Training Program** Running from August 24 to November 14, 2026, this rigorous and comprehensive 12-week training program aims to mold female personnel into highly trained, confident, and operationally capable commandos. The training covers various aspects, including physical conditioning, weapon handling, precision marksmanship, intervention skills, hostage rescue operations, and counter-terrorism tactics. The objective of this initiative goes beyond merely enhancing the physical and professional capabilities of female personnel; it seeks to prepare them for challenging operational environments that demand rapid decision-making, courage, and a high level of commando proficiency. This move by the NSG is considered a significant milestone in creating a capable and trained cadre of female commandos for the nation's internal security system. Amidst an evolving security landscape and emerging terrorist threats, this initiative—by fostering women's participation—marks a major step toward integrating women into the frontline of national security. **Central Hub and Regional Deployment** It is worth noting that the NSG headquarters is located in Manesar (Haryana), while regional hubs have been established in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Gandhinagar. These hubs aim to ensure rapid response times across all parts of the country. **A Security Shield for Modern India** The NSG’s motto—"Sarvatra Sarvottam Suraksha" (Excellence in Security Everywhere)—is reflected in every action it undertakes. Its scope and technical capabilities are expected to expand further in the coming years. This ‘Black Cat’ force of India is not only a symbol of the nation's security but also an epitome of the precision, professionalism, and perfection of modern India.
