₹3,000 crore loot in the name of digital arrests
The Home Ministry has informed the Supreme Court that ₹3,000 crore loot has been done in the name of digital arrests in the country. The court commented that this scam has become challenging. Justices Suryakant, Ujjal Bhuyan, and JM Bagchi opined that it needs to be suppressed with an iron fist. They said that an order will be issued soon. Meanwhile, the court intends to hand over the responsibility of investigating these scams happening across the country to the CBI.
