Another ₹72 Hike for Paddy
New Delhi: Providing relief to farmers, the Central Government has taken a significant decision. The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Modi, has approved an increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for 14 crops for the 2026-27 Kharif marketing season. It was announced that these decisions were taken with the objective of ensuring a minimum return of 50% on the farmers' investment. The support price for paddy has been increased by ₹72. With this hike, the support price for the common variety has reached ₹2,441 per quintal.
