Experts say that due to excessive use in winter, there is a possibility of geysers exploding, and people should be vigilant. ‘Before a geyser explodes, water leaks. If you notice this, disconnect the power. Also, the geyser should not be left on all night. Doing so causes the water to overheat and explode due to pressure. It should not be switched on when there is no water. If the geyser suddenly rusts, it should be serviced, including the pressure valve,’ they advise.
