Arrest Cricketer Porel
The Calcutta High Court has ordered the immediate arrest of young Bengal cricketer Abishek Porel. A medical student had previously lodged a police complaint alleging that Porel sexually harassed her and threatened to post intimate photos of her on social media. She stated in her complaint that she had met Porel three years ago and that he subsequently reneged on a promise to marry her. After hearing the case, the court ordered Porel's immediate arrest and the seizure of his phone.
