Bank Loans Worth ₹10 Lakh Crore Written Off in 12 Years
New Delhi: Loan write-offs have become a major burden for banks across the country. Even large companies and business entities are failing to repay the loans they have taken. Consequently, over the past 12 years, banks have written off loan dues amounting to approximately ₹10 lakh crore owed by these companies and entities. Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary disclosed this information in the Lok Sabha in response to a written question.
