Free Heart Surgeries for Children at NIMS
Hyderabad: Rahul Devaraj, Director of the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), announced that free heart surgeries would be performed on children. He stated that the surgeries are scheduled to begin at NIMS on the 13th of this month (Thursday). He mentioned that following medical examinations, children requiring surgery would receive treatment free of cost through the Rajiv Arogyasri scheme and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF). He added that free heart surgeries have been conducted annually for the past five years.
