Banking Employees Urged Not to Strike
New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Finance has appealed to banking employees not to resort to strikes to press for their demands, suggesting instead that issues be resolved through dialogue. Banking employee unions have already announced plans to go on strike starting the 28th of this month to push for various demands, including a five-day work week. This raises the risk of banking operations across the country coming to a standstill for three consecutive days.
