Bhimashankar Temple to be closed from January 1
The Bhimashankar Temple (Maharashtra), one of the Jyotirlingas, will be closed from January 1, 2026. As part of the temple's development plan, the main temple's assembly hall will be renovated. Considering the safety of devotees during the construction work, officials have decided to suspend darshan (visits) at the temple for three months. Located in the Sahyadri mountain range, this temple is a favorite spot not only for spiritual seekers but also for nature lovers and trekkers.
